When God Sends People...They Make Excuses

Abraham was too old.

Moses stuttered.

Miriam was a gossip.

Jacob was a liar.

Gideon doubted.

Elijah was burned out.

First David's armour didn't fit, then he had an affair, and had someone killed.

Solomon was too rich.

Isaiah had unclean lips.

Jeremiah was too young.

Jonah didn't like the job.

Amos's only training was in the school of fig-tree pruning.

Naomi was a widow.

Peter was afraid of death.

Thomas was from Missouri (the "show-me" state).

Paul was a murderer.

Mark was rejected by Paul.

Timothy had ulcers.

Lazarus was dead.

Martha was a worry-wart.

...or so they claimed, before God's Spirit empowered them to rise to the occasion and become some of the greatest heroes of our faith.

Camp IAWAH

Each summer a number of our youth go to camp to work with the kids and grow in their own spiritual life. Some have been going since they can remember, but for others, this year was their first.

Bonnie Mundy and Carol Tomalty decided to play hooky from their real lives for a day in July and go find out what the kids at Camp IAWAH were doing.

The result of this day-trip was a short video that gives a glimpse into the daily lives of our teens (and some adults) at camp. We wish we could visit all of our 'summer missionaries' like this, but for now, check in with the kids at IAWAH.

see the video! (a new window will open)

This video was shown on Sunday, August 13, 2006 at BAC.

Our 'Cluster' Missionaries

Missions board at BAC

Within the C&MA, each church is designated a group, or cluster, of missionaries to help support.

More information will be posted here about the missionaries that are in our cluster. In the meantime, there is an information board posted in the lobby at BAC where you can find out all about our cluster.

Leah and Alexander

Leah and Alexander

Are you ready to be in on the ground level of something God is doing in Belize?

Are you ready to walk alongside of a young couple (half of which we have known for a LONG time here at Bayridge!)?

Leah and Alexander are excited about embarking on their new journey together and this opportunity that God has given them that seems to be what they were made for!

Read their letter and give financially and by praying regularly.
