Celebrate Recovery Ministry
Celebrate Recovery is a Christ-centred, biblical 12-step recovery program.
This ministry focuses on helping people heal from hurts, habits or hang-ups.
When you think of your life, do you feel hopeful? Step 2 of the 12 Step recovery program invites us to open our hearts to the fact that there is a higher power, who is God, who cares about us, and is the only One who has the power to hearl our pain. Psalm 62:5 says, "Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him."
Hope is having a higher power and His name is Jesus Christ. Hope is being open to change, having the power to change and expecting to change.
'On Monday evening, July 28 at 7:00 pm in the Fireside Room at Bayridge Alliance Church, there will be a Recovery Checkup Workshop open to everyone who has or has not been in recovery and are seeking help, or just wanting to know more about the Celebrate Recovery program. Throughout our lives, we continue to encounter hurts and trials that we are powerless to change. But with God's help we can be open to allow them to change us. To do this, by completing this Recovery check-up, you will have identified any issues that you need to address regarding: failures in your past, denial in your present, and fears of the future.
On Monday, September 8, 2008 at 7:00 pm at BAC, the Kingston Celebrate Recovery ministry begins and is open to everyone who wants healing and freedom from their hurts, habits and hang-ups. Trained facilitators will be offering the following groups: Men's Mixed Issues group, Women's Anger and Co-dependency, Women's Mixed Issues group (recovering from abuse, eating disorders, divorce, relationship difficulties, abandonment & rejection to name a few) and a Women's Substance Abuse group. More details will soon follow.
