Sound and Technical ministries

Making every run smoothly at the sound booth

Do you itch to get your fingers on the sound board? Would you love to play with cables and wires? How about just knowing how to make people sound good and look good on the platform each Sunday morning?

Well, maybe you should be a part of our sound and tech team.

We are all volunteers, learning from each other and as we go along. Some of us have been at it for a long time and are very willing to share what we know with those who are just beginning. Others are new and appreciate how kind the congregation is as we learn on the fly!

We need both a sound tech and a computer operator each Sunday morning.

On the computer, we use a presentation software called 'EasyWorship' and... it really is! Using EasyWorship, we can display the words to songs, sermon outlines and announcements. When we have a drama to present, sound effects and videos can be downloaded into the queue and played seamlessly (most of the time!) when needed.

The sound guy sits at the other end of the tech area and makes sure that everyone is 'on' when they need to be. Sounds easy, doesn't it?

The nice thing about this ministry at Bayridge is that we are a team of people who help each other out and have a lot of fun doing something that we really enjoy.

If you are interested in this kind of ministry, talk to Bill Satnik (sound) or Carol Tomalty (tech).
